Thursday, March 17th, 2011

Christmas lights are not just for decorating Christmas trees. Nowadays, you can use white Christmas lights throughout the year as accent pieces for almost everything from stairs to bedrooms and workshops.

You can use short strings of battery operated Christmas lights in illuminating display shelves. The white wire Christmas lights go well with any color and would highlight your precious collectibles with its faint glow. You can choose to inconspicuously tape the strands of white mini lights to the bottom or at the top of the display shelf toward the back of the shelf. If you have a workshop, you can certainly take advantage of white mini lights to create an inspiring and cozy workshop space. If you are often in a hurry to get started on a project, it is a great idea to casually put a string of mini lights over a panel of pegboard. The glow coming from the mini lights will illuminate the place where your tools are which can help you select your tools easily when you are working on a project. You can also use mini lights to accent your front porch and create a welcoming effect.

Mini lights can also be used to change the atmosphere in the bedroom. Decorating your baby’s room with mini lights can be a good idea. Instead of always turning on the room’s main light source which can sometimes be too bright for your baby’s eyes, you can opt to illuminate the room with strings of mini lights when your baby sleeps at night.

Accentuate the Kameleon In You

Thursday, March 10th, 2011

We slide from one place to another, blending in, blending out, blending into the beautiful simplicity of all that is round. Kameleon JewelPops are like mood rings, but the wearer controls what the world sees. It’s beautiful like that. We can blend in or blend out in sterling silver style that is timeless as what the circle represents: never-ending motion, however still it may be.

We dress our silver pieces to match with our dress, same color, same mood, same oneness, maintaining simplicity and elegance of style, gliding in and out of days with grace, or we dress our silver however we will, nevermind what color of clothing we wear. Kameleon (like chameleon) lets us blend out or blend in, empowering us to rise above what nature would proffer, and to choose for ourselves how blend-outish or blend-inish we will be.

For that very reason, Kameleon will always be my preference in jewelry. I’m a “blend in” kind of person, and Kameleon has me covered in subtleties of blue and black and green, and I can blend in with the sky, or a sultry summer day, or my favorite black dress, all without trading that which allows me to blend, to shape-shift according to my moods, all without much effort, and beauty is a breeze. Accentuate the Kameleon in you.
